Installation Instructions:

sbNextStep requires the free Microsoft Access 2010 Runtime (also known as Access Database Engine). Prior to installing sbNextStep, you will need to download and install the Access Runtime, if you haven’t done so already in a previous installation (you only need to download it once).

Here are complete instructions:

1. Install Free Microsoft Access Runtime

Download and install the Access Database Engine from: http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=10910

· Important Note: Do not install the 64 bit version. Instead, install the version labeled “AccessRuntime.exe”

· This is a large file (175 Mb, so allow time)

· The installation will halt for a few minutes and appear as though it’s not working. This is normal, let it continue to completion.

2. Install Latest Microsoft Service Patch for Access Runtime

Microsoft has issued a service patch for MS Access. You’ll need to download it and install it, as well. It contains several bug fixes for the free Microsoft Access Runtime. Download it from here: http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=26601

3. Install sbNextStep

· If you have a full-size laptop or a desktop computer, download and install sbNextStep by clicking here

· If you have small “Netbook” computer (smaller than a regular “laptop”), download and install sbNextStep by clicking here

4. For Non-US Customers only:
